The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry – (the UFI) is inviting entries for this year’s Sustainable Development Award which will be presented during the 2021 UFI Global Congress which is pencilled for November in the Netherlands.
The association made the announcement last week.
The award, whose entry submission deadline is 16 March, is meant to recognise and reward companies in the exhibition industry, which came up with innovations that benefited other stakeholders.
“The UFI 2021 Sustainable Development Award is designed to recognise organisations that have implemented a successful partnership approach in the exhibitions industry that has created shared value among partners, communities, customers and/or the environment, or are developing a promising one. Use the UFI Award to display your great efforts,” read part of the announcement.
The association gave one of the benefits of participating in the Award as global recognition among others.
“By entering the UFI Sustainable Development Award you will get global recognition from the industry, share best practices and present your winning formula at the UFI Global Congress, which will help in attracting new customers,” the association said.
The Award is open to all companies from the exhibition industry such as organisers, venues, service providers and association irrespective of whether or not they are UFI members. It is also open to entries by collaborating parties.
“Collaborative entries, involving groups of organisations, including some from .outside the exhibition industry are welcome and encouraged,” said the association.
