The second edition of the Gweru-based Midlands Weddings and Events Expo is set for Saturday, 20 November, and the organisers have confirmed that everything is now in place for the event which brings together players in the weddings and events sector in the Midlands Province.
Farai Mabodza, the managing director of Farirai Nandipa Events, which organises the annual business-to-customer event, told Business Events that they were ready for Saturday.
“We are ready to host our esteemed exhibitors and valued visitors next week for this year’s edition of the Midlands Weddings and Events Expo. The event will be held at the Village Lodge here in Gweru,” Mabodza said.
She said the event would be held under the Covid-19 safety protocols.
The events organiser and caterer explained that the event was an opportunity for players in the weddings and events to showcase their products and services. She highlighted that the event would afford couples, who are planning their weddings and rooras as well as individuals, event planners, and corporates planning parties and other events, an opportunity to get information from various service and goods suppliers exhibiting at the expo.
Mabodza indicated that visitors stood to win prizes as their entry tickets would get them into a draw for various prizes. For example, those who share the news of the event by tagging their friends stand to free a free lunch at the Pallet Garden Café which is located in the Midlands provincial capital.
“Besides the prizes, visitors will get a chance to compare various goods and services in one setting. Some service providers will be offering on their packages” Mabodza said.
Other highlights of the expo include cake and food tasting as well as photoshoots for couples.
