The local contact centre body, the Contact Centre Association of Zimbabwe (CCAZ) is inviting its stakeholders to provide feedback on last year’s edition of its annual Service Excellence Awards. This comes over a month ahead of this year’s edition of the event which is slated for 20 October at the Rainbow Towers Hotel and Conference Centre in Harare.

“(The) CCAZ is carrying out a customer feedback survey on the 2022 Service Excellence Awards as we get ready for the 12th edition,” the contact centre national body posted on its social media handles this week.

“This is a short customer feedback questionnaire for (the) CCAZ’s 2022 Service Excellence Awards. Your feedback is very important to us as it helps us (to) give you, our customers, value for money,” reads the introduction to the 8-part survey.

The survey is seeking stakeholders’ views in terms of general satisfaction with the event as well as their suggestions on what CCAZ should do to improve their experiences at the event. The association is also soliciting stakeholders’ favourite experiences of the event as well as their views on the entertainment aspect of the event.

Through the survey, the CCAZ is also soliciting stakeholders’ thoughts on the food served at the event as well as their general assessment of the event. In this regard, questions 6 and 7 ask whether or not the event met the stakeholders’ expectations and whether or not they would attend any of the CCAZ’s events in future. The survey ends with the most important question for award events: “What are your thoughts on the selection of the nominees and winners’ lists?”

Some Zimbabwean award event organisers have been accused of shrouding their selection criteria and judging processes in secrecy thereby putting the integrity of their awards into question. They have also been accused of prioritising money ahead of merit. The CCAZ’s survey demonstrates the association’s commitment to opening up its processes to scrutiny, involving its stakeholders and improving stakeholders’ experiences at its events.
