Events organiser and coordinator, Barbreanne Gascoigne is lining up a wedding show which is set for next month in Harare.

Dubbed the Ultimate Wedding Expo, the event is set to be held on 26 and 27 April at the Highlander (formerly the Highlands Sports Club) in Highlands, Harare.

“I am targeting wedding providers to come and showcase their materials for two days. I have organised a lovely little venue. There will be food and bar. We have organised free entertainment, meaning that artists who are not known can come and perform on the stage. All they have to do is to bring their flyers, promotional materials so that the people can see them perform and book them,” Gascoigne told the Business Events recently.

Exhibitors are expected to set up their show space on Thursday, 25 April in preparation for Friday, the 26th, which is the first day of the exhibition. The expo is expected to start at 1100 hours and run until 1900 hours.

“Just after 4 pm a dove release (will be held) followed by an on-stage runway bridal show. By now we hope you will have enjoyed the day and you will have a small happy hour cocktail in your exhibition space while watching our celebrity performance singer, Tariro NeGitare who will entertain you and your guests,” Gascoigne said in communication directed to prospective exhibitors.

Exhibitors who wish to market their brands during the show are expected to write a brief description of the goods and services they offer and the event’s Masters of Ceremony (MCs), Nabeelah Jogee and Tinashe will punt them.

On the second day, the exhibition will commence at 1000 hours and run until 1700 hours. Gascoigne assured participants that there will not be power outage fears as a standby generator is in place. She advised that the event will have staff at hand to clean up and remove trash during the expo. The staff will also ensure the restrooms are clean throughout the show.
