As COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc across the globe, the organisers of another Zimbabwean exhibition, the ADMA Agrishow have been forced to put the show on hold until further notice citing the uncertainty around whether or not the ongoing lockdown will be over by 28 May when the event was pencilled to start.

This was communicated by the organisers of the event in a statement issued this week to its stakeholders.

“With all the uncertainty in our world at the moment we regret to inform you (that) we have made the hard decision to postpone the ADMA Agrishow. We feel it is important for us as a society to be responsible and fight this pandemic,” read part of the statement.

Like other business event organisers the world over, the organisers of the event expressed hope that someday during the course of the year the fourth edition of the show, which was supposed to run from 28 to 30 May this year at the Borrowdale Racecourse in Harare, would go ahead as planned.

“We are still looking forward to opening our gates in the near future to show what our wonderful nation has to offer,” they said.

The ADMA Agrishow, which held its maiden show in 2017, is the brainchild of the Agricultural Dealers and Manufacturers Association of Zimbabwe (ADMA) and is organised by Davies Events & D Productions, a Harare event planning company.

According to ADMA, the exhibition is a once a year opportunity for all its industry players to exhibit static displays and live demonstrations of tractors and equipment, as an opportunity for farmers to compare tractor brands, agricultural machinery and anything else a farmer would require side by side.
