The 13th edition of the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (MAZ)’s annual Marketers Convention has been pencilled for 27 to 30 October in Kariba. This was announced by the association in correspondence to its members last week.
The meeting is set to be held under the theme: “Marketing in the Age of AI: Change is inevitable – Reinvent or die.” AI refers to artificial intelligence.
The event is set to be held as a hybrid conference to enable MAZ to ensure compliance with Covid-19 safety protocols.
“In light of the government regulations surrounding Covid19, the convention will be held as a hybrid setup with virtual as well as onsite participants. Participants joining virtually will participate via the Zoom platform, while those onsite will be at The Caribbea Bay Resort, Kariba,” read part of the message.
The association assured delegates that the event’s venue would ensure that Covid-19 safety measures are in place.
“Caribbea Bay Resort has set up special Covid19 regulations to ensure the safety of guests. However, to ensure adequate social distancing, the facility can take only 100 participants because we will be using the tent for conference sessions,” the association said.
Some of the highlights of the convention include MAZ President’s dinner, which will include a marketing movie as well as the MAZ Exceptional Marketing awards. The association is yet to disclose the names of the event’s speakers.
