The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) has moved Zimbabwe
Agricultural Show (formerly the Harare Agricultural Show) dates by a week
from the original 26 to 31 August to 19 to 24 August 2019 to accommodate the
schedules of some of its stakeholders, the society has said.
“Owing to the need to align our calendar with both our national and
international stakeholders while ensuring that we retain relevance and growth,
we are now bringing back the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show a week earlier to 19
to 24 August 2019. While we note that some of our stakeholders might be
affected by the change of date, we emphasize (that) this has been done to ensure
the Show experience is unforgettable, transformational and impactful as we
move further and beyond the Harare Agricultural Show,” read part of the
a statement released by the society this week.
The society also advised that its exhibition stand sales would continue until 9
August and that exhibitors should ensure that their stands are ready stands for
the show by 14 August 2019.
ZAS is yet to disclose the identity of the guest of honour who is expected to
officially open this year’s edition of the show. Last year the exhibition was
opened by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
