BancABC puts together SME Virtual Summit

One of the leading local commercial banks, BancABC is set to hold an SME virtual summit on 3 and 4 December. The event, which includes a virtual exhibition, is set to run under the theme, “Strengthening SMEs for productivity and inclusive growth.”

“This virtual conference and exhibition bring together business personalities and professionals with entrepreneurs to share knowledge and insights to help you grow your business in difficult environments and lead the way ahead of the competition,” read part of a brochure on the event website.

The bank explained that participants would benefit from the opportunities presented by the event for advertisement and marketing through the virtual exhibition. It further pointed out that the event would enable participants to network and meet suppliers and customers and share knowledge and insights with professionals to accelerate the growth of their businesses.

BancABC Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Lance Mambondiani is expected to chair the event, which has a number of moderators such as television and radio personality, Macdonald Gurura. The event has 15 panellists who include ZimTrade CEO, Allan Majuru, lawyer and motivational speaker, Arthur Marara and Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe Director of Exchange Control, Farai Masendu among others.

According to the website, the summit, apart from dealing with SMEs issues in general, is expected to focus on the youth and women in business. Some of the topics which the virtual meeting is set to tackle include; Financing SMEs post-COVID-19, Supporting women in business, The role of SMEs in the economy and Level up your business: Cutting edge skills for entrepreneurs.
