Some start-up owners and other entrepreneurs are set to benefit from a business networking event, which is set to be held in Harare on Friday this week.

The event, which is dubbed “Expanding opportunities meet-up” was organised by Yarutso Car Rental and Yarutso Adventure founder, Victor Tawanda Madzedze and is set to be held at PG Centre in Harare city centre.

Madzedze told Business Events that the meet up was aimed at providing a networking opportunity for start-up entrepreneurs and other businesspeople to meet and engage.

“The objective of the event is to enhance business relationships through networking. This is a true networking event where serious deals happen. It is an event where serious participants meet each other and talk business. The target market (of the event) is business leaders with a primary bias on start-ups, medium-sized and scale-up companies,” Madzedze said.

The businessman highlighted that the event would enable attendees to cultivate relations with other entrepreneurs and link up with potential funders.

“The attendees will be able to develop relationships with other entrepreneurs and forge relationships that could see some of them becoming their B2B clients. It is an opportunity for start-up entrepreneurs to learn from the experiences of other businesspeople,” he said.

Madzedze indicated that Buy Zimbabwe Chairman and YA FM radio station founder, Munyaradzi Hwengwere is set to address as the event’s keynote speaker. His address is expected to be followed by a panel discussion involving Qupa Finance Chief Executive Officer, Jade Tsokodayi, OK Zimbabwe marketing lead, Dennis Chagonda and Ropearl Beauty Spa and Salon founder, Ropafadzo Machakwa. The event will end with a speed networking session.

Madzedze was optimistic that the meet-up could form the basis of several business deals.
